A form builder creates a matching form and shares it with their community.
Share Your Story
People fill it out through thoughtful free-response questions — typing or speaking — which our AI transforms into short biographical summaries and embeddings that capture each person's interests, values, and personality.
Run the Algorithm
Once enough responses arrive, the builder runs the matching algorithm, which pairs or groups people based on similarity, resonance, and the constraints they chose (mentor-mentee, big-little, or general pairing).
Get Introduced
With one click, ConnectU generates warm, personalized introduction emails that highlight shared traits, complementary strengths, and conversation starters — helping every connection begin with meaning, not awkward small talk.

Built with Love from Duke
Hey — we're Zach, Carter, and Yash — the founders of ConnectU.ai. We built this from the dorms of Duke to help frats and clubs foster deeper, more intentional connections. On a college campus, you're surrounded by thousands of people. Statistically, your best friend, your future co-founder, or your intellectual soulmate is likely within a mile of you. And yet — finding someone you truly resonate with still feels like a roll of the dice.
We have backgrounds in math, philosophy, and deep learning, and we noticed that frontier technologies are often used to help people save pennies on markets — while the most important thing, the act of finding people you truly resonate with and forming deep friendships, receives little to no attention. We wanted to change that.
ConnectU uses state-of-the-art AI to match people based on meaning — not just metrics. We first built this for our own communities, and the results felt magical. Now we're sharing it with the world.
